Common Cold & Stomach Bug

Effective relief for colds, congestion, stomach viruses, and dehydration in children.

Cold & Stomach Care for Kids

The common cold and stomach bugs are frequent visitors in childhood. While most resolve on their own, some cases need medical attention — especially when dehydration, persistent symptoms, or complications arise. At KidsXpress, we help determine when home care is enough and when treatment is needed.

When to Seek Care

  • Cold symptoms lasting more than 10 days
  • Thick, colored nasal discharge with facial pain
  • Persistent vomiting (unable to keep fluids down for 8+ hours)
  • Signs of dehydration (dry mouth, no tears, reduced urination)
  • Bloody stool or severe abdominal pain
  • Difficulty breathing or wheezing with a cold
  • Infant under 3 months with cold symptoms

Our Approach

We'll assess your child's hydration levels, check for secondary infections, and provide appropriate treatment. For stomach bugs, we can administer anti-nausea medication and provide oral rehydration guidance. For persistent colds, we'll determine if antibiotics are needed for a secondary bacterial infection and provide symptom relief recommendations tailored to your child's age.

Worried About Dehydration?

We can assess hydration levels and provide treatment on-site.
